Partium is set to play a significant role at InnoTrans 2024, the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to the rail transport sector. Scheduled from September 24th to 27th in Berlin, this event is a key platform for showcasing innovation in the railway industry. You can visit Partium at the AI Mobility Corner in Hall 7.01 A, Booth 202, where they will present their latest advancements.
Transforming Spare Parts Management
What can visitors expect from Partium at the AI Mobility Corner? We will unveil our innovative AI-driven part search solution, designed to revolutionize spare parts management. Our technology simplifies and accelerates the process of locating parts, making it easier for technicians, supply chain experts, and maintenance teams to find the parts they need fast and effortlessly. With tools such as images, text, filters, QR codes, and barcodes, users can locate parts within seconds, significantly improving asset availability and reliability.
Additionally, our Partium solution supports technician onboarding, boosts knowledge management, and speeds up procurement, inventory management, and maintenance operations. By leveraging existing data, Partium enhances spare parts information, enabling teams to optimize their workflows and tackle challenges such as:
- Deduplication and warehouse stock optimization
- End-of-life and lifecycle management
- Finding alternative vendors for parts
Partium has become a standard tool in Deutsche Bahn’s (DB) repair and maintenance processes, helping cut down search times for replacement parts. Germany’s national railway company sought a digital solution to reduce the average search time for parts from 15-20 minutes to just seconds. Today, over 10,000 DB technicians use Partium, collectively saving 16,800 person-days per year that were previously spent searching for spare parts.
Partium's success at DB also caught the attention of ÖBB, Austria's national railway company. Facing similar challenges, ÖBB integrated Partium into their operations, with around 800 technicians now benefiting from the platform’s efficiency-enhancing capabilities.
Partium continues to advance its offerings, unlocking new use cases through AI-powered parts data optimization:
Data Insights: Partium’s Data Insights feature helps clean and reorganize existing parts data.
Data Enrichment: Partium can now enrich metadata and add essential information to parts.
Image Enrichment: Do you only have 2D renderings of your parts? No problem, Partium’s AI can now turn them into product images.
These enhanced capabilities enable rail industry operators to unlock high-ROI use cases, including:
1. Duplicate Identification: Approximately 10% of the total dataset consists of duplicates, meaning out of 100 parts, 10 are identical. Partium can identify and eliminate duplicates, avoiding double procurements of the same parts to minimize inventory levels and reduce tied-up capital.
2. Automated Lifecycle Management: Partium aids in obsolescence management by flagging lifecycle status changes and updating the material master with critical information. With automated lifecycle management, procurement and supply chain teams benefit greatly from time savings and hassle-free lifecycle tracking.
3. Original Manufacturer Identification: Partium's AI can extract information such as logos and numbers from images, helping users identify the original manufacturer of a part. This allows procurement teams to find alternative vendors, avoid vendor lock-ins, and reduce costs.
Partium's presence at InnoTrans 2024 represents another step forward in our mission to transform spare parts management within the rail industry.
